Have you ever felt your inner light dim when you entered the boardroom or your individuality wane under industry pressure? Kelly Ann knows this feeling all too well and is on a mission to challenge the notion that professionalism is equated with conformity.

Kelly Ann spent years working in some of the nation’s most esteemed environments (the likes of NASA and The White House,) and despite the daily pressures, she rose in the ranks, unafraid to showcase what makes her a rare asset, all while clearing a path for others to do the same. Whether it’s going against the status quo or pushing for a more inclusive environment, Kelly Ann is modeling that you don’t have to fit a mold to find success and wants others to find the same freedom.

Kelly Ann believes that identifying and owning your rare form is YOUR distinctive advantage as an individual, and as an organization. From this foundation, she invites her audience to find lasting fulfillment through living and working from their most authentic self.

It’s no secret that women often feel silenced at work: from being under-represented in leadership to juggling conflicting responsibilities at home and in the office, the list goes on and on. Research shows that about 80% of women experience microaggressions at work, including feeling compelled to provide evidence of their accomplishments, and we wonder why so many feel overlooked, interrupted, and just plain stifled.

From communications to campaigning, Kelly Ann spends her career breaking ceilings and trailblazing a path for women in the workplace to do the same. By guiding them to tap into their individual expression and live life in color, or their rare form, she teaches audiences how to leverage their uniqueness to make waves in their organization.

Through her own experience climbing the corporate ladder, Kelly Ann understands that women have the opportunity to transform their own experience at work through mentorship, sponsorship, and advocacy. When on the hunt for her first job out of college, a dear professor and mentor told Kelly Ann, “I will help you here, as long as you promise to help someone else.” Since then, she made it her mission to help others and underline the value of mentorship.

In this talk, she empowers and inspires women to find their power and embrace it.

Imagine if we wove permission for self-expression into the fabric of our organizations. Kelly Ann understands that it’s our individual differences that make us great and works to ensure that everyone, especially minority employees, are given the opportunity to take up space and truly shine. Through her years of experience in the boardroom, Kelly Ann knows that psychological safety at work is critical to creating a culture where people can be themselves. That safety can be fostered on an individual level through mentorship, and on an organizational level through policy change.

In her time at Mr. Cooper Group, she has been a champion for all team members by reimagining the working model to allow for more flexibility. She has also been an advocate for women’s and parents’ rights within the workplace introducing policies that would give support to women’s healthcare as well as adoption benefits.

Kelly Ann teaches her audience how you can talk the talk AND walk the walk by being a catalyst for change and advocating for a supportive and equitable work environment that allows every team member to flourish. In this talk, you’ll gain an understanding of how to transform culture on a micro level and how to make waves in your organization through policy change.
