In her current role as Executive Vice President and Chief Experience Officer for Mr. Cooper Group, she empowers people’s strengths and advocates for a more human-centric approach to work. By integrating the team member and customer experience, she ensures both are held to the highest standard, setting the gold standard for excellence. In her role, she oversees all facets of the team member and customer experiences, including Human resources, Brand, Marketing, Voice of the customer, Digital User Experience, Corporate Communications, DEI, Employee Events and Programs, Facilities, Procurement and more.
Previously, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Media and Communication from George Washington University and went on to shine her light through politics and communication in roles at the White House, NASA, and beyond. It is through her lived experiences such as serving as the Chief Experience Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief People and Communications Officer of Mr. Cooper, as well as, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Elevate, public relations and affairs consultant, strategic communication staffer and N.A.S.A. as a political appointee, that Kelly Ann learned how to craft healthy company culture and witnessed the critical role it plays in setting the gold standard for both team members and customers.
After her time in D.C., Kelly Ann came home to Texas where she continued to make a name for herself as a communications professional. She’s climbed the corporate ladder, all while creating and sharing invaluable tools to improve the employee experience from the top down. Kelly Ann is a passionate volunteer and currently serves on the board for Big Thought and the Cotton Bowl. Kelly Ann also serves on the Dallas Regional Chamber board as the chair of the Talent Attraction Committee and the SMU Tate Board of Directors.
Unconventional in both personality and experience, Kelly Ann has risen in the ranks, unafraid to showcase what makes her a rare asset, all while clearing a path for others to do the same. Whether it’s dyeing her hair hot pink or pushing for a more inclusive policy, she’s doing more than just talking about permitting people to be themselves — she’s modeling that you don’t have to fit the mold to find success. In fact, she’d argue that it’s identifying and owning your rare form that is your distinctive advantage as an individual and as an organization. Kelly Ann’s dedication to authentic leadership has garnered attention and recently landed her spots on notable lists, including 100 Women to Know and The Dallas Business Journal’s Texas 100.
Regardless of her role, Kelly Ann pushes leaders to embrace continual evolution and equips them to make necessary changes to company culture, policies, or leadership styles to allow the unique characteristics and life experiences of their team members to be on full display.
KELLY ANN STANDS FOR…
LIVING LIFE IN COLOR.
The professional world often encourages muted tones, but the world needs the uniqueness you bring by living your life in color — both inside and outside the office.
First, show up.
GIVING A VOICE TO THE VOICELESS.
Assess your privilege and know when to listen. But don’t let being an intentional listener keep you on the sidelines — use your voice to amplify the voices that need to be heard.
Next, listen and amplify.
CLEARING THE PATH.
Climbing the ladder doesn’t mean anything unless you help others do the same. Be a mentor, see the next generation, and stand in the gap so that others can stand out.
Then, make room.
BEING A CATALYST.
There is power in both recognizing and utilizing moments that bring about change. Don’t simply observe what needs to be done — be a catalyst for the change you want to see.
Finally, create change where change is needed.
